Uniform & Dress Code Policy

Our Philosophy

At Al Wali Academy, our dress code reflects the Islamic values of modesty (ḥayā‘), respect, dignity, and excellence. Our uniform promotes a sense of unity, school pride, and equality while minimizing distractions and creating a focused learning environment.

We recognize that our youngest learners are active and developing independence. Therefore, our expectations for PreK and Kindergarten prioritize comfort, safety, and age-appropriate modesty, while encouraging students to take pride in their appearance.

We ask all families to partner with the school by ensuring students arrive each day dressed according to the school’s uniform and dress code expectations.

      Additional Uniform Guidelines

To maintain a consistent, professional, and unified appearance, students are expected to wear only the approved Al Wali Academy uniform while on campus.

      • Only official Al Wali Academy logo sweaters, crewnecks, cardigans, and other approved uniform outerwear may be worn during the school day.
      • Hoodies, sweatshirts, jackets, sweaters, cardigans, zip-up jackets, fleece pullovers, or any other outerwear that is not part of the approved Al Wali Academy uniform are not permitted under any circumstances, regardless of color, style, or brand.
      • Students may not wear non-uniform hoodies or jackets underneath their uniform sweater or over their uniform during the school day.
      • If a student is cold during the school day, they must wear the approved Al Wali Academy logo sweater, crewneck, or cardigan designated for their grade level.
      • Outerwear worn to and from school must be removed upon entering the school building unless it is an approved Al Wali Academy uniform item.
      • Winter coats, rain jackets, hats, gloves, scarves, and other seasonal outerwear may be worn outdoors when weather conditions require them but must be removed upon entering the school building. These items are not considered part of the school uniform and may not be worn during the school day unless approved by the administration for medical or safety reasons.
      • Students may not alter, roll, cut, crop, tear, or otherwise modify any portion of the school uniform.
      • Uniforms should be clean, neat, appropriately fitted, and in good condition at all times.

Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in a Uniform Violation Notice and will count toward the student’s total number of uniform violations as outlined in the Uniform Compliance Policy.
